Spain eying history by retaining the title

Spain is looking forward to create history in the forthcoming FIFA World Cup by winning fourth big tournament in a row.

Coach Vicente Dell Bosque has made Spanish team so strong that team has won 2008 Euro Cup, 2010 FIFA WC and won Euro Cup in 2012.

If Spain able to retain the World Cup then it will become first team to do so after Brazil as this American country won the WC in 1958 and 1962. Spain has been placed in Group B along with Netherlands, Chili and Australia.

But there is doubt that for how long the Spanish players can win everything in club level and international circuit. Such a doubt proved to be true when young and confident Brazilian side won Confederation Cup by thrashing Spain by 3-0 in the final.

Spanish Goalkeeper Pepe Reina has also admitted that Brazil is favorite of winning tournament. However, Spain can still prove by its experience of South Africa that dress rehearsal in Confederation Cup is not always a best indicator to know how World Cup is going to take place.

The last four Winners of Confederation Cup has not won a World Cup. After getting defeated from America by 2-0 in the final of Confederation Cup in 2009, Spain won the 2010 FIFA World Cup in 2010 which was held in rainbow nation i.e South Africa.
