Nihalchand Meghwal, the lone cabinet minister from Rajasthan, was served a notice along with 17 others by the Jaipur district court in relation to a 4-year-old rape case.

 As per the reports, in 2011, a woman had filed an FIR against her husband and his friends of sexually exploiting her.

In her police grievance, she had alleged that her husband drugged her after which she was raped by his friends including Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Nihalchand.

The closer report was filed in 2012 as charges were not proved, but afterward the woman appealed in the district court. On Thursday, the court served notices to minister Nihalchand and 17 others in the case and have asked them to reply by August 20, 2014. 43-year-old Nihalchand is a four-time MP from the Ganganagar seat of Rajasthan.

He is the son of Begaram Chauhan, an MLA from Raisinghnagar assembly constituency. During Lok Sabha elections 2014, Nihalchand had beaten Congress candidate Bhanwarlal Meghwal.

Now, it will be interesting to see what action Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to take against Nihalchand, who began his political career in 1995, if he is proven culpable in the case.

Rapes are not intentional, they happen by mistake: BJP minister, but no noise from media

After Madhya Pradesh home minister Babulal Gaur, another BJP leader and Chattisgarh Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra has sparked a storm by saying that rapes are not deliberate and they only take place by mistake.

"Rape joi jaanbooj ke nahi karta, dhokey se ho jata hai dushkaram (Rapes are not intentional. They happen by mistake)," said Paikra on Saturday

.

On Thursday, Babulal Gaur had made a controversial remark for calling rape "social crime which is sometimes right and sometimes wrong."

 

"It is a social crime which depends on the man and the woman. It is sometimes right and sometimes wrong. Unless a complaint is filed, nothing happens," said Gaur

The minister went on to intensify saying "it is not possible for any government to ensure that rape is not committed. Action can be taken only after the act is done,"

“The women should learn judo, karate to defend themselves,” he added

His statement lead to and angry retort from Congress which said he had no right to stay in office after making such remarks on women.

The silence of media is also very unfortunate. When a non BJP leader like Mulayam Singh Yadav makes any unfortunate statement on rapes then it gets a lot of attention from media but media believes in playing down the similar statements made by BJP leaders. The rape cases of Uttar Pradesh only hits headlines in media. Pune murder case follow up: "The first wicket has fallen", accused writes in his SMS

The Pune police have arrested 17 people alleged to be linked with a right wing faction, Hindu Rashtra Sena, for supposedly thrashing a 24-year-old IT professional to death in Pune on Monday in a alleged hate crime(http://idharudhar24x7.blogspot.in/2014/06/killed-by-right-wing-workers-as-he-had.html.Some of those arrested have been charged with murder.

Hindu Rashtra Sena leader Dhananjay Desai has been under arrest in another case, but his responsibility in the youth's murder is being looked into. The Joint  Commissioner of Police said that an SMS was spread among the accused, which proclaimed that the first wicket has fallen.

The police are on the watch out for the remaining accused who have been recognized.

This episode comes just days after certain provocative posts were uploaded on Facebook. The posts were removed but not before tension was reported from several areas of state.

The software expert Shaikh Mohasin Sadiq, who hailed from Solapur and was a resident of Hadapsar, was beaten to death on Monday triggered tensions in the region.

The cause for the assault was apparently posting of 89 insulting photos of warrior king Shivaji and late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Facebook, which led to a protest bandh on Sunday.

Sadiq worked in the IT section of a textile firm in the town. He was beaten badly with sticks at Bankar Colony by the accused and succumbed to his injuries through treatment at a close to hospital, police said. Two other guys, also had been attacked and hurt in stone pelting at the similar place  on the same night.

Police said the case has been given to Crime Branch and they have urged to citizens not to believe or circulate rumors as the situation is calm. Security has been beefed up in the region.

The faction of men had previously attacked 2 youth at the similar place. The police had arrested at least 180 people for involving in stone throwing in the Pune region last week.

Munde supporters turn violent in Parli village, shouts slogans against BJP leaders

The funeral of Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde has been done in Parli village on Wednesday. The huge crowd was gathered to say the bye to Munde for the one last time. People are smelling conspiracy theories behind Munde's road accident. They have pelted the stones on CM Prithviraj Chauhan and BJP leaders cars. They also torched the vehicles. Police had to lathicharged to bring the condition in control. Meanwhile, Shivsena supremo Uddhav Thackerey has demanded CBI probe in Munde's death.

Preparation of Munde's funeral was going on but on the other hand crowd gathered to see the last glimpse of Munde was getting uncontrolled. Supporters are in rude shock due to Munde's sudden death who was on the peak of his political career. Daughter Pankaja has performed the last rites of Munde and the shock of supporters was converted into anger in no time. However, Pankaja had earlier appealed to Munde's supporters to maintain peace and asked them to not pelt the stones. She pleaded in front of supporters that please don't spoil the image of your sahib. She said that your daughter is crying and requesting you.

But Pankaja's emotional appeal had no impact on supporters. They feels that Munde's death is the result of some conspiracy. BJP's iron man Lalkrishna Advani, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parikar and many other big BJP leaders went Parli to pay tribute to Munde. The crowd has shouted slogans against few of these leaders. 

Munde's body was taken to Latur from Mumbai on Wednesday morning. Then, it reached Parli village of Beed district from helicopter. The sea of supporters were in Munde's cremation. The crowd was the proof of Munde's popularity.

Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh pays condolence on Narendra Modi's demise

After NDTV India, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has also killed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has paid condolence on Modi's demise, instead of Gopinath Munde.

Even Chief Minister's mother is not safe in "azab-gazab" MP, robbed in broad daylight

You can yourself know the poor and pathetic condition of law and order of Madhya Pradesh where Chief Ministers's mother is also not safe. Chain snatchers have no fear of police in the MP's capital Bhopal as they did not even spare Shivraj's mother and stolen her chain. When thiefs can even target Chauhan's mother, there is no gurantee of Aam aadmi's security in the state. On Wednesday's morning, Chief Minister's mother was walking in front of house, Bike rider snatchers have snatched the chain from CM's mother neck. CM's mother got injured also during this unfortunate incident. Adding salt to the injury, police is trying its best to close down the matter.

Actually, CM's fathers resides in 224/9 B Saket Nagar with his second wife Kashibai Chauhan. Kashibai went to walk and while returning, chain snatchers have stolen the golden chain from her neck. IG Yogesh Chaudhari and DIG D Srinivas Verma viisited Prem Singh's house and took the information of this incident. 

CM's father has confirmed the chain snatching and told that like her daily routine, his wife went to get flower for Pooja, this incident took place during her walk only. He said that her wife also got injured and treatment is underway. Prem Singh's cook Jawan Singh told that Kashibai was alone during this incident.

Trial court has rejected the bail application of Devu Chodankar, who wrote on Goa+ page that if Modi comes to power then he would unleash a holocaust. However, he deleted that post immediately.

Devu has been booked under sections 153(A), 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code(IPC), section 125 of the People's Representation Act and 66-A of the Information Technology Act. Few of these sections are non bailable.
