Man of the Match - Rahane: Start is very important for any series. Credit goes to our bowlers who bowled really well in hot conditions. We thought, they were 15-20 runs short but obviously, one partnership was really crucial and luckily me and Robin had such big partnership. We were looking to chase and got it easily later on. Just wanted to be positive at start and later on just carried my innings
Raina, Indian captain - Uthappa and Rahane batted really well. Out three spinners executed their plans really well. It was very tough for pacers to bowl in such a heat. But still happy with the performance. When you know, Rasool and Patel can bat, so we decided to go with five specialist bowlers. Robin was treat to watch and Rahan is one of the cleanest batsman I have ever seen
Rahim, Bangladesh captain - We were 20 runs short. They still batted well especially in 15 overs. They bowled well in first ten over as there was something in wicket in first hour. We have to rectify our mistakes in remaining two games. We wanted to put a big total by batting first
Maximum sixes award - Uthappa and Rahim for hitting two sixes each
With the help of 99-run opening stand between Rahane and Uthappa, India off to a solid start but wrong decision of umpire costed Uthappa his wicket. Then rain came and match was resumed with the revised D/L target for India which was 150 runs in 26 overs.Just after resumption, India lost Pujara, who became another victim of poor umpiring, and ball was turning like anything. Rahane carried on his brilliant batting before becoming before getting dismissed by brilliant catch at short third man.
