Why media is targeting Uttar Pradesh's law and order only?

No one should defend the unfortunate and stupid statements of Samajwadi Party(SP) leaders on rape and undoubtedly, the situation of law and order in India's biggest state is in very miserable condition. The previous government of Mayawati had done just two good works in the state. First is roads and express ways construction and second one is the maintenance of law and order. But, still media excluding Ravish Kumar of NDTV India is highlighting the rape cases of UP only which is raising eyebrows. I or anyone else cam't defend the statements of SP leaders on rapes but if Akhilesh Yadav says that media's prime target is UP only then he has a point.

These above statistics on rape cases suggests that there are several other states which are going unnoticed in terms of rape cases. The condition of law order is very bad especially in the BJP ruled state Madhya Pradesh. The "bhanjis" of Shivraj mama are not safe in azab-gazab MP. Ok forget bhanjis, CM"s mother is also not safe under the saffronist party(http://idharudhar24x7.blogspot.in/2014/05/even-chief-ministers-mother-is-not-safe.html). The reporting of rape cases from Madhya Pradesh is common but surprisingly, these cases are not getting much attention of either print media or electronic media.

Now, come to Gujarat which is the so called heaven for women. Modi ji once said that mother takes long sense of breather when her girl reach Gujarat border but Indian PM had forgot that Gujarat border also touch Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan which are BJP ruled states.

Cases of rape increase by 7% in Gujarat(http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ahmedabad/Cases-of-rape-increase-by-7-in-Gujarat/articleshow/20754331.cms)

3. Chattisgarh(BJP ruled) total population: 2.56 cr

4. Rajasthan(BJP ruled) total population: 6.86 cr

Percentage of rape cases:: 0.003%

5. West Bengal(TMC ruled) total population: 9.13 cr

8. Andhra Pradesh(TDP-cum Congress ruled) total population: 8.46 cr
Rape cases: 1442
Percentage of rape cases: 0.002%

9. Punjab(NDA ruled) total population: 2.7 cr

Percentage of rape cases: 0.002%

10. Goa(BJP ruled) total population: 14.59 lakh
Rape cases: 29
Percentage of rape cases: 0.002%

11. Gujarat(BJP ruled) total population: 6 cr
Rape cases: 439
Percentage of rape cases: 0.001%

12. Uttar Pradesh(SP ruled) total population: 19.98 cr
Rape cases: 2042
Percentage of rape cases: 0.001%

The above stats are more than enough to prove that Madhya Pradesh tops the chart in terms of rape case both as a total number of cases and in the rape cases ratio to the total population. While, Uttar Pradesh which is on the firing line of media and has a population of around 200 million i.e 20 cr has just 0.001% rape cases. If you see the above population wise list then all the BJP ruled states have a disastrous track record when it comes to stop rape. However, I still feel that government can't do much to prevent rape, it's an issue related with the sick mentality of the people. I had to write this article to expose the paid media and cheap politics which BJP is playing. Why media didn't show any guts for questioning Woman and Child Welfare Minister Menka Gandhi for not visiting Badaun to meet the family of victims despite the fact that she was in Pilibhit which is not far away from Badaun.

Yes, I agreee that the case of Badaun was very cruel and inhuman but that can't hide the issue of law and order in BJP ruled states which is in very bad shape and I would urge media that please focus on other states as well, don't target the UP alone.
