People expecting good days in the hope of downfall in inflation should prepare themselves to get huge blow. According to sources, Narendra Modi-led newly formed government is in the mood of deregulating the diesel prices as well like petrol. It has been believed that diesel prices will be deregulated entirely within 4 months.
Notably,. Manmohan-led UPA government had also deregulated the petrol prices but then BJP accused Congress of playing into the hands of "tail mafiya". As a result, Petrol is costing 75 Rs/litre now. Then also, there was talks of deregulating diesel too.
Farmers use the diesel in large quantity, loading of goods from truck and railway also have the use of diesel in good quantity. It is clear that with the increase in diesel price, cost of transportation and inflation will also rise. Thus, UPA didn't take any risk by deregulating diesel.
Now, Central Government has decided that they will deregulate the diesel price for reducing the government expenditure. According to news agency Reuters sources, the process of deregulating the diesel price will be completed in next four months.
