Despite so called Modi wave, BJP is struggling to make any impact in East UP and in Jaunpur Congress is hoping to make a comeback after 30 years. BSP's Dhananjay Singh, who is accused of the murder of her maid, won this seat in 2009. Banking on the stardom of Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, Congress is looking all set to clinch Jaunpur. However, reports keep coming that Congress muslim MLA from Jaunpur is not supporting Kishan as he himself wanted lok sabha ticket.
